Job Description
Azure Cloud FinOps Engineer optimizing Azure cloud costs and financial governance through forecasting and best practices. Collaborating with Engineering, DevOps, and Finance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and optimize Azure cloud costs across subscriptions and services
- Implement right-sizing, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and auto-scaling
- Manage budgets, forecasts, alerts, and cost anomaly detection
- Build cost dashboards and reports using Azure Cost Management & Power BI
- Enable chargeback/showback and enforce tagging standards
- Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Finance teams to drive cost-aware decisions
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in Azure cloud cost management and financial governance
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Cost Management + Billing
- Knowledge of Azure pricing models, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot VMs
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and SQL
- Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI is a plus
- Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, or AZ-305) are preferred
- FinOps Certified Practitioner is preferred
