Job Description

Brand Content Creator for an e-commerce brand producing engaging videos and still assets for social media. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Create video content that drives engagement, reach, and conversions across Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual assets
  • Streamline content production workflows by delivering multiple high-quality assets weekly
  • Enhance audience engagement by leveraging trending editing styles and platform best practices
  • Contribute creative ideas for new formats and campaigns to improve content performance
  • Edit high-quality Instagram Reels (15–90 seconds) optimized for engagement, reach, and conversions
  • Transform raw footage from UGC creators, product demos, lifestyle shoots, and brand content into polished, attention-grabbing videos
  • Apply trending editing techniques, including fast-paced cuts, kinetic typography, motion graphics, transitions, and effects
  • Sync edits to trending audio, music, and voiceovers
  • Add captions, text overlays, and CTAs optimized for sound-off viewing
  • Color grade and apply visual effects to ensure brand consistency
  • Edit content in vertical (9:16) format for mobile-first consumption
  • Adapt and repurpose content across multiple platforms while maintaining originality
  • Stay up-to-date with platform trends and algorithm changes
  • Deliver multiple edited videos per week with fast turnaround times
  • Design static graphics, carousel posts, and product images for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
  • Create on-brand templates for announcements, promotions, product launches, and educational content
  • Edit and retouch product photos for visual appeal and platform optimization
  • Develop simple motion graphics or animated stills for stories and feed posts
  • Ensure all still assets maintain brand consistency in colors, fonts, imagery, and overall aesthetic
  • Adapt still assets for different platform specs and aspect ratios (square, vertical, horizontal)
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to understand content needs, creative direction, and deadlines
  • Review raw footage and assets to identify the strongest clips for editing
  • Communicate proactively about timelines, file organization, and technical issues
  • Provide creative input to elevate content performance
  • Organize video files, project folders, and asset libraries for easy access and version control
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new content styles

Requirements:

  • Must-Haves (Required)
  • 2+ years of experience editing short-form video content for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut
  • Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and TikTok trends, editing styles, pacing, transitions, and effects
  • Experience editing UGC content, lifestyle videos, product demos, and entertainment-focused content
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for still asset creation and photo retouching
  • Strong sense of pacing, timing, and storytelling
  • Ability to sync edits to music, trending audio, and voiceovers
  • Knowledge of platform best practices (vertical format, captions, originality, watermark removal)
  • Excellent color grading skills and visual aesthetic alignment
  • Highly organized with strong file management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)
  • Experience editing content for e-commerce brands to drive sales
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animations
  • Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools for auto-captioning, background removal, and smart editing
  • Experience with Instagram Edits app or other mobile editing platforms
  • Knowledge of sound design and audio mixing
  • Understanding of Instagram Analytics for video performance optimization
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with Canva or Figma for template-based design work
