Job Description

Social Media Intern contributing to National Council's online presence through content creation and engagement. Collaborating with the Social Media Manager to enhance marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Help increase the National Council's online presence and promote its mission.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to create engaging content and increase engagement across various social media platforms.
  • Develop content for National Council and Mental Health First Aid social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and written content.
  • Explore content from other accounts to reshare or engage with on the National Council or Mental Health First Aid social media pages.
  • Engage with National Council and Mental Health First Aid followers and respond to comments and messages.
  • Monitor and report on social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Research social media trends and stay up-to-date on best practices. Provide these reports to team members who will utilize the data to optimize campaigns and improve marketing efforts.

Requirements:

  • Current student (completed at least two full-time years of undergraduate study) or a recent graduate (in the last six months) in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating social media content, including graphics and videos.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Passion for healthcare and advocacy.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
