Job Description
Business Analyst developing technical solutions for Penn State IT through stakeholder collaboration and requirements analysis. Engaging with various teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify impacted parties
- Facilitate requirements elicitation through interviews, document reviews, workshops, surveys, and teleconferences
- Work closely with both internal and external clients to ensure user-friendly and accessible interfaces
- Partner with developers to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals
- Facilitate activities such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Perform gap analyses and document current and future state business processes
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Support post-launch analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Experienced business analysis within ERP environments is ideal
- A strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), Salesforce, Informatica, and web technologies is essential.
- Proficiency in project management tools is expected
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with requirements writing and technical documentation is required
- Familiarity with change control processes and quality assurance testing is beneficial
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design principles is a plus
- Basic understanding of data modeling or SQL
