Job Description

Business Manager overseeing property operations for Asset Living, focusing on operational efficiency and financial performance in property management across the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • The Business Manager, Property Operations plays a critical role in supporting regional property portfolios by driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and compliance.
  • Partner closely with regional and site leadership to oversee key operational functions including occupancy management, maintenance oversight, financial controls, and regulatory compliance, ensuring consistent execution of Asset Living standards and client expectations.
  • Support resident retention strategies and renewal workflows.
  • Address resident concerns and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee tenant-based voucher administration and related compliance requirements.
  • Monitor maintenance follow-up, service quality, and resident satisfaction.
  • Partner with site teams to ensure timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance.
  • Oversee delinquency, collections, and rent recovery efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with jurisdictional timelines for move-outs and charges.
  • Track and report capital expenditures in alignment with approved budgets.
  • Oversee invoice processing, including PO-to-invoice matching and vendor payment workflows.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in multifamily property management, operations, or asset management
  • Proficiency with property management systems such as Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools
  • Demonstrated understanding of leasing operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
