Job Description

Claims Examiner assessing property damage and bodily injury claims under insurance contracts. Investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims within established authority in a company with significant financial strength.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate assigned claims reported under insurance contracts
  • Identify needed information and documents for claims evaluation
  • Contact Insureds, Claimants, and others regarding claims processes
  • Coordinate with the Legal Department on coverage and compliance
  • Analyze and evaluate liability of Insureds
  • Prepare and maintain accurate claim records and communications
  • Negotiate and resolve assigned claims within established authority

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • One or more years work experience
  • Knowledge of insurance contracts
  • Interpretation of insurance claim procedures
  • Investigation skills
  • Evaluation and analysis skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
