Job Description
Client Development Executive managing client relationships and waste-diversion projects for Northstar Recycling. Analyzing programs, reducing costs, and improving recycling efficiency across client facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a group of Northstar Recycling clients as the lead contact
- Maximize profits and client retention rates
- Provide customer service and identify and implement landfill diversion, cost-savings, and efficiency projects
- Maintain and build professional relationships with external site contacts
- Serve as a point of escalation for urgent service issues
- Develop creative solutions for waste and recycling programs
- Manage workload and identify projects aligned with Northstar performance objectives
- Analyze historic data and optimize services to recommend waste program improvements
- Strategically price commodities and train clients on recycling best practices
- Coordinate installation and removal of waste and recycling equipment
- Identify, manage, and implement cost savings, gross profit, and landfill diversion projects
- Conduct on-site and phone waste audits with manufacturing and Distribution Center sites
- Travel throughout North America approximately 25% of the time for client site visits
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 2 years of professional experience in the waste and recycling industry
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

- Ability to travel throughout North America approximately 25% of the time
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required as a condition of employment
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
