Job Description
Client Relations Specialist/Project Manager role at Legacy Tree Genealogists. Support clients in their genealogy projects through effective communication and project management.
Responsibilities:
- act as the main point of contact for clients
- build rapport through clear, timely, empathetic communication
- onboard new clients by reviewing their goals and answering questions
- facilitate project setup by collecting and organizing client materials
- collaborate with teams to ensure deliverables align with client expectations
- review research results through the client’s perspective
- troubleshoot concerns and guide clients through unexpected findings
- support client reorders by suggesting next steps
- maintain client satisfaction metrics and internal communication logs
- proactively resolve issues using strong understanding of workflows
Requirements:
- warm and professional communicator via phone, email, and text
- skilled at building trust with clients
- naturally empathetic and enjoys helping others
- excellent attention to detail
- ability to juggle multiple responsibilities gracefully
- comfortable improving internal processes
- stays calm under pressure
- able to de-escalate concerns
- willing to learn new tools and systems
- comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive) and Google Docs Editors
- experience with genealogy software (RootsMagic)
- has quiet workspace, reliable computer, two monitors, and strong internet access
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is better
- personal or professional genealogical research experience is a plus
- experience in customer service or client-facing roles
