Job Description
Clinical Dispatcher coordinating emergency and routine telemedicine consultations for Access TeleCare’s virtual hospital. Managing physician assignments, dispatch workflows, equipment readiness, and service-level metrics remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with hospital clinical staff and Access TeleCare physicians to ensure timely and efficient patient care
- Perform all CCC Coordinator duties
- Manage incoming emergency and routine consultations through CCC consultation lifecycle workflows
- Prioritize and assign emergency and non-emergency consultations across multiple service lines
- Use approved protocols, workflows, and the computer-aided dispatch system to evaluate situations and take appropriate action
- Test readiness of computers, cameras, and related communications equipment
- Monitor and maintain queues to prioritize and assign consultations while meeting or exceeding SLAs
- Meet or exceed performance metrics on the performance index scorecard
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with healthcare facilities, physicians, coworkers, and supervisors
- Remain on-call, stay beyond shift-end, and respond to emergency situations when required
- Maintain collaborative working relationships across departments
- Keep the immediate supervisor informed of issues and concerns and take corrective action
- Foster a positive team spirit and organizational culture
- Perform other tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification Required
- At least one year of experience working in a call center environment or healthcare or IT
- Strong communications skills (written and oral) and ability to work effectively across departments
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, communication, and collaboration tools in various operating systems
- Ability to learn software and systems
- Excellent phone/customer service skills and high attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
- Ability to excel in a remote work setting, high-growth and fast-paced organization
- Must be able to work 2:45 PM–11 PM Eastern Time, Sunday–Thursday
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by the 24/7 consult coordination center
- Frequent speaking and listening using a headset
- Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time
- Ability to sit for extended periods and look at a computer monitor
- Repetitive use of hands/fingers across keyboard
