Job Description

Clinical Specialist supporting orthopedic surgery teams with Acumed medical devices. Managing case coverage, clinical guidance, hospital inventory, and theatre staff training across South East London.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the use of Acumed products within the theatre environment
  • Provide support, consultation, and training to surgeons and theatre teams before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Offer guidance to assist with clinical decision-making
  • Ensure surgeons have the correct equipment for patients
  • Manage hospitals in the assigned area day to day
  • Audit stock, facilitate replenishment, book loan kits, and ensure implants and instruments are ready and accessible
  • Manage the interface between Acumed and clinical settings
  • Gather, collate, interpret, and communicate clinically based, customer-centric information to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Build and maintain networks and relationships to promote value-based healthcare
  • Achieve KPIs set by the line manager and/or Directors
  • Cover cases and advise on application of the Acumed portfolio
  • Interface between customers and the Regional Sales Manager
  • Provide guidance to new and existing customers on clinical decisions
  • Train theatre staff
  • Understand and adhere to hospital and theatre policies
  • Attend regional symposiums and represent the Acumed brand
  • Maintain inventory and conduct audits
  • Keep CRM records up to date
  • Maintain Acumed equipment, including laptop, mobile phone, and audit equipment
  • Complete administration duties in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Field-based position based in South East London
  • Expert product and anatomical knowledge
  • Sound understanding of orthopedic principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to work flexibly to support business requirements
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • Full driving license and a car is essential
