Job Description

Clinical Trainer onboarding Eleanor Health’s addiction-care teams on Athena and compliant clinical workflows. Designing SUD education, auditing competency, and coaching clinicians nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Own onboarding end to end for all organizational team members
  • Facilitate trainings, evolve training content, and complete competency checklists that verify skills directly
  • Serve as the team's go-to expert on Athena and EHR workflows
  • Provide spot trainings and detailed 1:1 feedback on documentation, workflow, and system navigation
  • Continuously streamline onboarding content and checklists to shorten ramp-up time
  • Audit medical staff documentation and practice after onboarding
  • Coach staff to correct training drift early
  • Share audit feedback with individuals and supervisors
  • Track and report training adherence using quantitative and qualitative data
  • Coordinate and facilitate continuing education
  • Train other facilitators to lead or co-lead courses
  • Design original SUD/behavioral health training content and curriculum
  • Apply adult learning principles and individualized learning plans by clinician, role, or team
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Learning Management System, owning its accuracy, efficiency, and reporting
  • Assess clinical quality and competency across nursing, therapy, medical, and care coordination disciplines
  • Partner with medical and Operations leadership to close workflow and quality gaps
  • Ensure training materials comply with state, federal, and accreditation standards such as CARF
  • Keep materials current as Athena, evidence, and regulations evolve

Requirements:

  • Active RN license or equivalent medical background, with direct behavioral health and/or SUD clinical experience (required)
  • Hands-on expertise with Athena or a comparable EHR from a clinical workflow perspective (required)
  • Experience designing and facilitating clinical training or curriculum
  • Ideally, LMS experience, adult learning theory, and instructional design
  • Genuine interest in training, coaching, and process rather than returning to direct patient care
  • Comfortable being the external, accountability-holding presence, not a peer
  • Comfortable with basic statistics and data-driven reporting on training adherence
  • Strong public speaking and facilitation skills
  • Able to grasp new concepts quickly and adapt to rapid change
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time, fluctuating as needed

Benefits:

  • Generous Paid Time Off (prorated for new employees)
  • 12 Vacation days
  • 12 Wellness (Sick) days
  • 3 Floating holidays
  • 9 Company-observed holidays
  • Jury Duty, Voting Leave, and other forms of paid time off may be available
  • Eleanor-paid medical and dental insurance plans
  • Affordable vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan with 3% match
  • Short-term disability
  • Long Term Disability (employee paid)
  • Life Insurance (Eleanor and employee-paid options)
  • Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML)
  • Mindfulness App Reimbursement
  • EAP with eight face-to-face sessions
  • Virtual health and wellness visits covered by the medical plan
