Job Description
Cloud Operations Manager managing Kubernetes applications and infrastructure for Infios, a supply chain software company. Leading cloud operations, incident response, automation, and operational SLA improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with solutions architects and business stakeholders to identify, design, develop, and deploy infrastructure engineering solutions for WM and TM platforms
- Manage an operations team supporting SaaS Kubernetes applications in OCI and AWS
- Train and mentor Operations Engineers
- Provide SLA-focused responses to event-driven alerts and incidents
- Ensure execution of plans to roll out new technologies quickly
- Lead ticket triage and prioritization by the Client Services organization
- Support and troubleshoot operating system, application, virtualization, and containerization issues
- Work with the Engineering team to develop automation and processes that improve operational SLAs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- 3+ years in a management/leadership role
- 5+ years in an operations role
- 5+ years supporting large scale .NET applications
- 5+ years supporting OCI and AWS based environments
- Fundamental understanding of Linux and Windows OS
- SME in managing and implementing Kubernetes solutions
- Proficient in implementing Infrastructure as Code principles and technologies, including Terraform
- Wide range of automation experience with Azure DevOps, Ansible, PowerShell, Groovy, Python, etc.
- Hands-on experience collecting performance data, analyzing, troubleshooting, and tuning
- Well versed in application containers such as IIS and Tomcat
- Full stack troubleshooting experience
- Experience with SCM (Git)
- Nice to have: Multi-cloud experience with emphasis on AWS support
- Nice to have: Experience managing Java applications
- Nice to have: Hands-on Dynatrace experience
- Nice to have: Experience managing Helm-templated Kubernetes environments
- Nice to have: Understanding of microservice architectures
- Nice to have: Experience with application protocols and messages such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, SMTP, RESTful APIs, XML/JSON, JDBC, and JMS/MQ
- Nice to have: Exposure to application threading and concurrency concerns
- Nice to have: Experience troubleshooting response times, connectivity, authentication, authorization, and configuration issues
- Nice to have: Experience in hosted global datacenter environments supporting geographically dispersed systems
