Job Description

CMS Support Developer responsible for maintaining and improving client websites. Focus on WordPress, troubleshooting, and support for various CMS platforms in a digital marketing agency.

Responsibilities:

  • As a CMS Support Developer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a portfolio of live client websites.
  • Handle ongoing website support tasks including bug fixes, broken elements, and layout adjustments.
  • Work primarily on WordPress websites, while also supporting other CMS platforms such as Duda, Squarespace, and Divi.
  • Set up and manage staging environments for safe updates and testing.
  • Ensure daily backups are properly configured and functioning within hosting environments.
  • Update and maintain themes, plugins, and CMS components.
  • Implement updates to footers, contact forms, favicons, and page elements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to site speed, responsiveness, and performance.
  • Implement and validate schema markup and technical SEO improvements.
  • Identify and fix technical SEO issues that impact search visibility.
  • Monitor and maintain overall website health and stability.
  • Support integrations and ensure functionality across forms, plugins, and external tools.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding fixes, updates, and timelines.
  • Document recurring issues and solutions to improve efficiency over time.

Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience working with WordPress and website maintenance/support.
  • Experience working across multiple CMS platforms (WordPress required; Duda, Squarespace, Divi is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of website troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with technical SEO concepts (site speed, schema, indexing, etc.).
  • Experience setting up staging environments and managing backups.
  • Comfortable working with hosting environments and basic server-side checks.
  • Experience handling task-based or ticket-based workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple small tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.
  • Availability to work within or overlap with U.S. time zones.
