Job Description

Commercial Lines Producer prospecting, quoting, and closing coverage for U.S. small businesses. Growing EPIC Brokers’ Main Street unit through insurance sales and cross-selling.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new commercial lines business opportunities
  • Quote and close new business for small businesses
  • Help small businesses secure appropriate insurance coverage
  • Cultivate relationships with over 500 Personal Lines and Large Account Producers within EPIC
  • Cross-sell to a diverse existing client book
  • Engage prospects through phone and email
  • Follow up responsively on all lead channels
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects to achieve sales targets
  • Develop cross-selling strategies for existing client books
  • Provide quote comparison reviews and articulate coverage differences
  • Utilize and maintain EPIC’s CRM and Agency Management System to designed standards
  • Navigate different risk profiles in Standard and E&S markets
  • Foster relationships with referring producers, underwriters, and other circles of influence
  • Attend educational, training, and other sessions as directed
  • Achieve an annual target of approximately $150,000 in new revenue

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Property & Casualty license required
  • Minimum three years of experience in Commercial Lines marketing, placement, service & sales
  • Full knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty lines of coverage and services
  • Proven track record of insurance sales success
  • Broad product and market knowledge
  • Client focus and understanding of client engagement

  • Proactive mindset and readiness to hit the ground running
  • Consultative, positive, and resourceful approach
  • Capacity to present, communicate, and build trust with confidence and expertise
  • Ability to solve practical problems with diverse variables where limited standardization exists
  • Ability to learn and manage leads within a CRM platform
  • Ability to learn and successfully utilize a commercial lines comparative rater
  • Fluent in navigating different risk profiles in Standard & E&S markets
  • Ability to attend educational, training, and other sessions as directed by EPIC
