Job Description

Nigeria Compliance Officer analyzing visa refusals and applicant risk for Global University Systems, an international education group. Improving recruitment quality, agent compliance, and UK student visa outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and mitigate visa and recruitment risks across the Nigerian student pipeline
  • Analyse visa refusal trends
  • Review applicant profiles and support the business and partner universities in improving visa outcomes, student quality and conversion
  • Monitor visa outcomes by agent and identify agents generating disproportionate levels of refusal or high-risk applications
  • Analyse refusal notices and identify common themes
  • Maintain an accurate refusal database for trend analysis and partner reporting
  • Communicate significant refusal trends promptly
  • Develop and maintain compliance KPIs and dashboards
  • Conduct pre-CAS risk interventions and quality assurance
  • Prepare management and Nigeria compliance reporting
  • Support agent compliance and improvement following intervention
  • Complete compliance training programmes
  • Undertake different or additional duties in line with business requirements at the request of the line manager

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Strong understanding of the UK Student visa route and relevant UKVI requirements
  • Experience within international student recruitment, UK higher education, admissions, compliance or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian international student recruitment environment
  • Comfortable escalating difficult issues
  • Desirable: Experience working directly with UK universities or education providers
  • Desirable: Previous UKVI compliance or international admissions experience
  • Desirable: Experience conducting applicant interviews or credibility assessments
