Job Description

Policy and Compliance Manager leading certification standards, regulatory strategy, and compliance operations at LegitScript. Guiding teams, client escalations, and jurisdictional expansion for safer internet and payment ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead subject matter experts for Certification program offerings and monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and market changes
  • Adapt operational strategies and guide the team in responding to regulatory shifts
  • Report on regulatory shifts and trends, including insights, key takeaways, forecasts, and potential business impacts
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen certification standards, streamline compliance operations, and scale processes
  • Oversee and update compliance frameworks, including the annual Certification Standards Refresh
  • Join customer calls to support compliance client-facing work
  • Support Sales with documentation, scoping decisions, and client questions
  • Develop policy team members through coaching, feedback, and growth planning
  • Monitor team capacity and recommend structural or resourcing adjustments
  • Partner with the Certification Innovation Leader to introduce AI and automation into policy and compliance workflows
  • Partner with Legal on denials, escalations, suspensions, litigation concerns, and related matters
  • Support jurisdictional and scope expansions through regulatory discovery, feasibility decisions, documentation, and team upskilling
  • Manage day-to-day Policy and Compliance team operations, including hiring, coaching, KPIs, and performance standards
  • Demonstrate LegitScript’s core values

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of policy management, industry regulations, and compliance standards across relevant verticals
  • Strong experience managing risk and compliance programs, including policy development, implementation, and monitoring across operations
  • Extensive subject matter expertise aligned with industry trends, business needs, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience building, coaching, and managing high-performing teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic and evolving markets with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MacOS, Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.), and Microsoft Excel
  • Skilled in professional writing and developing/reviewing compliance documentation
  • Well-developed ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write English
  • Open to candidates with a 4-year college degree or a comparable blend of education and experience
  • 2–4 years of experience managing people and/or policy and compliance-related programs
