Job Description
Construction Project Manager overseeing commercial construction projects with general contractor in Florida. Coordinating scheduling, budgeting, and team communication to ensure timely completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and engineers throughout project phases
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure scope alignment
- Manage subcontractor bids, buyouts, and project procurement
- Track project progress and address scheduling or cost issues proactively
- Lead project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, field teams, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and construction regulations
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Experience working for a **general contractor or construction management firm**
- Background managing **ground-up construction or major renovation projects**
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
- Ability to coordinate remote project teams and field operations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- **Preferred Experience**
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, industrial, or institutional construction projects
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
