Job Description

Associate Project Manager at Automated Logic managing commercial installation projects in critical data centers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Commercial Installations: Take ownership of key aspects of commercial installation projects within a dynamic building solutions environment, specifically supporting critical data center work across the country.
  • Deliver on Commitments: Manage and complete assigned projects strictly according to contractual requirements, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Scope & Change Management: Direct the execution of the contracted scope of work and proactively identify opportunities to secure change orders for any expansions of scope.
  • Standardized Excellence: Execute projects seamlessly by following established organizational project processes, working independently or under the strategic guidance of a Senior Project Manager.
  • Financial Performance & Accountability: Take accountability for the overall financial health and P&L performance of assigned projects (typically scaling up to a $2M revenue background).
  • End-to-End Tracking: Actively manage project planning, billing, revenue forecasting, accounts receivable (A/R) collection, and the continuous re-estimating of installation project costs.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform 'actual vs. estimated' analyses to identify variances, determine reasons for variances, and implement effective mitigation steps.
  • Cash Flow Management: Maintain positive cash flow through approved Schedule of Values (SOV), follow up on billings, and work to maintain budgets or reduce costs while preserving client satisfaction.
  • Lead Project Resources: Provide strong direction, leadership, and motivation to cross-functional teams and shared project resources.
  • Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with subcontractors; proactively identify performance or execution issues and implement swift corrective action plans.
  • Material & Resource Optimization: Coordinate project materials and optimize the use of shared assets; stay ahead of resource constraints and develop effective remedies to keep projects moving smoothly.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in Construction, HVAC and/or Building Automation
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 50% as required
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, Access and other Windows products
  • Bachelor's degree
