Job Description
Consultant for Business Continuity Management supporting clients in risk recognition and strategy development for business continuity. Focus on IT service resilience and critical processes in crises.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the implementation and continuous development of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM)
- Participation in risk analyses, Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and the assessment of IT dependencies
- Creation, maintenance and enhancement of emergency manuals, IT restart plans and recovery strategies
- Support for technical and organizational tests (e.g., restart tests, emergency exercises), including evaluation and optimization of results
- Analysis of existing IT infrastructures and critical services with a focus on availability requirements and defined recovery times
- Participation in projects to increase IT resilience, e.g., by designing redundancy concepts, cloud/hybrid strategies or security measures
- Documentation and presentation of work results to clients and internal stakeholders
- Active contribution to the further development of internal methods, tools and templates in the area of BCM/ITSCM
Requirements:
- Degree or professional background in Business Informatics, Computer Science, IT Management, IT Security or a comparable qualification (e.g., vocational training, university degree or professional experience)
- Knowledge of IT Service Continuity Management, Business Continuity Management and relevant standards and frameworks
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructures, network architectures, cloud services and operational IT processes
- Interest in risk management, resilience, IT strategy and emergency planning
- Analytical thinking, structured working style and enjoyment of project-oriented work
- Strong communication skills, customer orientation and willingness to engage with complex topics
- Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills
- Willingness to travel for consulting and client appointments
