Job Description
Contracts Manager managing clinical-trial agreements, budgets, and negotiations for Parexel’s global healthcare development services. Serving as primary client contact on contractual issues.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the contract process for specific or varied accounts
- Coordinate Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development, and Finance to prepare, review, and negotiate contracts
- Serve as the primary client contact during negotiation phases
- Interface with clients regarding contractual issues throughout project lifecycles
- Establish and maintain direct client contact
- Create, negotiate, and finalize budgets and contractual documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders, and Change Orders
- Develop account-specific contract standards, including budget presentation, payment terms, and standard contract language
- Proactively review project and contractual status to ensure compliance with terms and milestones and identify scope changes
- Cooperate with Finance on budget changes and provide finance system load-ready budget tools
- Process and maintain contractual document information in relevant databases
- Customize company templates to meet client requirements
- Participate in development and testing of tools and procedures
Requirements:
- University Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in contract management, proposal development or related field
- Knowledge of clinical trials and/or industry experience – must
- Knowledge of ICH/GCP in the provision of clinical trials – preferred
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases)
- Fluent in English, oral and written
