Job Description
PwC Australia Manager leading retail and consumer supply chain and procurement transformations. Improving sourcing, planning, logistics, merchandising, and store operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end supply chain and procurement transformation initiatives for retail and consumer products organisations
- Work within multidisciplinary teams across the end-to-end value chain: plan, source, make, and deliver
- Support merchandising teams with sourcing and category strategies, COGS reduction, and buying operating model enhancement
- Design, implement, and optimise planning, forecasting, and replenishment processes and technologies
- Improve manufacturing, warehousing, transport, and logistics operations
- Strengthen retail store operations to meet customer needs and organisational strategy
- Collaborate with merchandising, category management, supply chain, and store operations stakeholders
- Conduct analysis, develop insights, and produce reports, models, roadmaps, proposals, and thought leadership
Requirements:
- Strong consulting background or proven track record delivering projects and transformation in leading Retail and Consumer Products organisations
- Deep understanding of retail and consumer products market dynamics, including demand and inventory management, sourcing, category management, transport and logistics, and store operations
- Expertise in defining and executing strategy, operating model design and improvement, end-to-end technology transformation, and commercial and process excellence
- Advisory or hands-on experience with forecasting, replenishment and merchandising technologies
- Interest or experience working with AI
- Strong curiosity, analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
- Ability to challenge, be adaptable and navigate ambiguity
- Experience in at least one of FMCG & retail, energy, utilities & resources
- A degree and relevant professional qualifications are highly regarded
