Job Description
Licensing Consultant with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management for Lumovy Technology Solutions. Analyzing and optimizing licensing compliance and requirements for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and reconcile customer usage data against licensed entitlements to ensure compliance
- Detect discrepancies such as over-usage, under-usage, or compliance risks and provide remediation steps
- Provide clear, actionable reports and insights to management, finance, procurement, and account teams
- Recommend adjustments in license allocation to reduce costs and optimize usage across teams
- Forecast future licensing requirements based on usage trends and business growth plans
- Review Dynamics 365 security roles and map them accurately to license types (Operations, Team Member, Device, Activity, capacity-based entitlements)
- Perform data analysis using Excel, Power BI, and/or SQL to extract, validate, and reconcile licensing information
- Identify over-licensing or under-licensing risks and provide cost-saving recommendations while ensuring compliance with Microsoft rules
- Partner with IT, Finance, and Procurement to implement optimization strategies and improve cost efficiency
- Communicate licensing requirements, risks, and optimization opportunities in both technical and business-friendly terms
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years specializing in Microsoft licensing (Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management license types and entitlements
- Strong experience in user role and security analysis within D365
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and/or SQL for license data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of Microsoft licensing rules, compliance frameworks, and optimization best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect discrepancies and forecast licensing needs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with finance and procurement teams for cost optimization initiatives
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate
