Job Description

Director Analyst guiding CIOs and technology executives on implementing AI and modernizing operations. Leading high-quality research and engaging discussions in a remote setup.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor global market trends related to core industries, relevant vendors, emerging technologies and best practices to advise CIOs and IT leaders on staying at the forefront in a constantly evolving technological landscape and amid geopolitical uncertainty
  • Establish credibility as an expert in artificial intelligence and technology platforms, representing Gartner Business and Technology Insights on topics such as AI platform integration, embedding AI into operations, and implementing and orchestrating AI agents
  • Actively participate in ideation and cohort discussions to form well-founded positions on technical topics affecting CIOs, with a focus on artificial intelligence
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to develop high-impact insights for our C-level clients
  • Produce evidence-based, easily consumable, defensible and actionable content
  • Provide high-quality, practical advisory to executives, CIOs, AI leaders and technology decision-makers via multiple channels
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations for webinars, executive briefings and other client events
  • Deliver strong sales and service support to retain and grow Gartner’s client base
  • Identify research process improvements or develop new processes to help the team and Business and Technology Insights excel at creating client value
  • Serve as a mentor and coach by supporting more junior team members

Requirements:

  • More than 8 years of experience as an information technology executive in one or more of the following sectors: government, banking, manufacturing or healthcare
  • Strong technical experience gained within an IT organization, grounded in an engineering discipline (e.g., AI platform engineer, systems engineer, information security engineer, cloud engineer, solutions architect, etc.)
  • Experience preparing organizations for AI—specifically, how to modernize data architecture and cloud compute capacity to support AI agent orchestration
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated executive presence; ability to establish credibility immediately with executives and other stakeholders
  • Learning agility and comfort navigating highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex concepts concisely and simply
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to their questions
  • Proficiency in data analysis and synthesis; ability to apply analytical models and frameworks effectively to draw and defend conclusions for client challenges
  • Ability to work independently while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate and support others within a global, multicultural team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required, as this role requires daily communication in English with clients and colleagues in other provinces and the United States.
