Job Description
Director leading AEO and SEO delivery, teams, P&L, and AI-search methodology at Omniscient. Building revenue-focused organic growth systems for B2B software companies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the AEO & SEO team, including hiring, coaching, accountability, leadership development, capacity planning, and succession
- Own the department’s P&L, headcount, KPIs, annual budget contribution, staffing, scope, margins, and growth through expansion and new services
- Meet proactively and regularly with clients to understand challenges, opportunities, sentiment, and opportunities for additional work
- Generate qualified leads, introductions, and closed deals through industry relationships, LinkedIn, events, and collaboration with Sales
- Partner with Leadership and Sales to package and price AEO & SEO offerings
- Own the AEO & SEO point of view, measurement philosophy, playbooks, and methodology direction
- Lead AI integration by setting standards and building tools, workflows, and agents that automate tedious work
- Define and enforce excellence standards for research, strategy, reporting, and deliverable quality assurance
- Own client health across the portfolio in partnership with Account Management and Digital PR and Editorial leaders
- Report to the Chief Client Officer and collaborate with Directors, Account Management, founders, and Sales
Requirements:
- 7+ years in SEO and organic growth
- Meaningful hands-on AEO work in the last 18-24 months
- Experience with AI visibility tools such as Peec or Profound
- Ability to explain visibility, share of voice, citations, and recommendations
- Strong point of view on AI search, how AI models build answers, and improving visibility
- Experience leading multi-level teams, including managers or team leads
- Experience owning a P&L, developing annual budgets, and hitting GPM targets
- Commercial mindset: ability to connect organic work to pipeline and revenue and defend attribution approaches to a skeptical C-suite
- Industry network and market presence
- Player-coach able to explain complex ideas to analysts and CMOs
- Experience driving AI adoption and shipping agents and automations for AEO and SEO work
- Strong attention to detail
- Agency and/or in-house B2B experience
- Experience presenting to CMOs, CEOs, and VPs
- Application must include passcode AEO2026
