Job Description
SEO AI Specialist leading technical SEO and AI-search optimization for Mannix Marketing’s digital marketing clients. Managing audits, structured data, performance analysis, and client strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Own organic search strategy for clients across industries including senior living, tourism, manufacturing, and non-profits
- Conduct technical SEO audits covering site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, and structured data
- Prioritize technical fixes by impact
- Develop and execute keyword and content strategy based on search intent and competitive analysis
- Optimize client content and site structure for AI-generated search results, including AI Overviews and LLM-based answer engines
- Implement and troubleshoot schema markup and structured data
- Monitor organic performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
- Translate performance data into clear recommendations
- Track changes in generative AI and adjust client strategy
- Build client-facing performance and strategy reports in plain language
- Communicate directly with clients about strategy, progress, and results
- Collaborate with account managers, web development, and content teams on cross-functional SEO initiatives
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on technical SEO experience, ideally agency-side, managing multiple client accounts at once
- Working knowledge of how AI search tools (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) surface and rank content and implications for optimization strategy
- Fluency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and at least one enterprise SEO platform
- Comfortable reading and troubleshooting structured data/schema markup
- Strong analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Must be located within the continental United States
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
