Job Description
Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting at ZRG Partners overseeing technical accounting function and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and global statutory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical accounting function, including interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP
- Serve as the subject matter expert on ASC 606 revenue recognition, including contract review, policy development, and issue resolution
- Manage and coordinate global statutory audits, including audits in non-U.S. jurisdictions
- Partner external audit firm to ensure compliance with local GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
- Draft and maintain accounting policies and technical memos for complex transactions
- Lead adoption and implementation of new accounting standards
- Oversee relationships with external auditors and advisors
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls over financial reporting
- Act as the technical specialist for ASC 842 lease standards
- Manage accounting for acquisitions including opening balance sheets
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Significant experience managing statutory audits in multiple non-U.S. jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience interfacing directly with external auditors and executive leadership.
