Job Description

Engineering Manager at Omnidian driving technology integration for Australian solar services. Leading a remote team to adapt US-based innovations to meet local needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end integration of the Resolv technology platform with Australian-based technology and operational workflows.
  • Partner with leadership to identify how technology can unlock new revenue streams and scale the Australian business efficiently.
  • Do hands-on work for at least a year as the first software engineer in Australia.
  • Translate complex technical roadmaps into clear, actionable business value for stakeholders, ensuring alignment between US engineering teams and Australian business objectives.
  • Lead the efforts to adapt and scale our software for international markets, addressing localization, regulatory requirements, and region-specific technical challenges.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, managing technical projects and local priorities while staying deeply connected to the global engineering organization.
  • Champion a strong culture fostering an environment of dignity, respect, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity within a fast-paced, tech-enabled service environment.
  • Strong background in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and the ability to learn new technologies when needed. Preferred is experience with AWS, Kotlin and/or Java, Typescript, REST services, asynchronous messaging, SQL, Python, DataBricks, AirTable.
  • Experience working with distributed teams or scaling US-based products into international markets (specifically Australia).
  • Experience in renewable energy, IoT, or asset management is a significant plus, but not required.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
