Job Description

BI Engineering Manager responsible for leading a team to improve business intelligence solutions. Fostering collaboration and strategic alignment with organizational objectives in a fully remote setup.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of BI engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring professional growth and skill development.
  • Develop and implement the BI strategy, aligning with the organization’s business objectives and driving improvements in data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Oversee the delivery of BI projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions, including data warehouses, data models, and ETL tools.
  • Work closely with data engineering, data product managers, and other stakeholders across departments to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within BI systems, implementing best practices and industry standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance BI capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in BI engineering or related roles, with 2+ years in a managerial or team lead position.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling; preferred to have familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Proven track record in managing and mentoring a team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in managing projects using methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
