Job Description
Engineering Manager overseeing platform and infrastructure teams at Hive, enhancing event marketing tools. Fostering a collaborative environment while driving engineering initiatives and recruiting top talent.
Responsibilities:
- Manage our platform, infrastructure and integration engineering pods
- Coach and mentor the team while maintaining high performance standards
- Drive initiatives and priorities across teams, collaborating company-wide
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of leadership team
- Recruit great engineers in collaboration with the People team
- Improve processes and tools for team productivity and outcomes
Requirements:
- 3+ years managing an effective engineering team, specializing in platform services, data integration and cloud infrastructure
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building high-volume data ingestion and transformation applications
- Experience with platform engineering teams and understanding their concepts and technologies
- Familiarity with shared codebase communication, development processes, and tooling
- Ability to work effectively in a semi or fully-remote team environment
- Strong communication skills with empathetic feedback focus
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
