Job Description

Engineering Manager responsible for enabling engineering teams to deliver impactful software applications at Rula. Leading technical excellence and shaping engineering culture in mental health space.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable the engineering organization through exceptional technical leadership and people management.
  • Lead a team of engineers to build, scale, and maintain high-impact consumer-facing applications.
  • Apply deep full-stack (FE/BE) building experience to ensure technical excellence across platforms.
  • Shape the engineering culture and hold a strong performance bar to support the mission of making mental healthcare work for everyone.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience; 3+ years managing engineers.
  • Proven track record of delivering production software at scale in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical grounding in web application architecture, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and delivery velocity across multiple initiatives
  • Prior experience hiring and developing high-performing engineers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills working cross-functionally with Product & Design
  • 3+ years in a hyper-growth company (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading and using AI-Native software delivery workflows and tools (preferred)
  • Experience building 0→1 product teams or launching new product lines that are B2B integrations in health tech (preferred)
  • Experience working in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries (preferred)
  • Strong operational discipline — metrics, retros, postmortems (preferred)
