Job Description
Engineering Manager leading a high-performing engineering team at AI startup. Overseeing engineering projects, mentoring engineers, and driving technical initiatives in financial tech.
Responsibilities:
- Run planning, standup, retrospectives, and concise meetings
- Unblock engineers and minimize distractions
- Partner with Product on roadmap, prioritization and execution
- Drive delivery of major features and technical initiatives
- Design and review system architecture, APIs and data models
- Balance speed, scalability and long-term maintainability
Requirements:
- Hardcore work ethic and high agency
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of experience leading teams
- Proven track record of shipping products at a high pace
- Strong experience with Python and React/Next.js (preferred)
- Experience building scalable APIs and systems
- Experience leading projects or systems end-to-end
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Comfortable operating with high ownership in ambiguous environments
- Background in fintech is a plus
