Job Description
Field Service Technician executing service work for ABB's electrical products while ensuring customer retention. Collaborating on-site and remotely to improve customer operations and resolutions.
Responsibilities:
- Execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines.
- Deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation.
- Showcase expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
- Work with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
- Perform field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.
- Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
- Act as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 1 year of electrical preventative maintenance, installation and repair, and experience as licensed field service technician.
- Experience with required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade.
- Strong knowledge and experience of conduit bending (EMT) ability to produce quality day after day.
- Infrared windows experience preferred.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician’s License.
- Working knowledge of current NEC codes.
- Knowledge and experience working in and around 480V commercial switchboards.
- Industrial experience considered a plus.
