Job Description
Senior Engineer leading steam turbine projects and initiatives at GE Vernova. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide innovative solutions and ensure reliable equipment operation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business
- Provide innovative solutions to steam turbine related issues
- Develop robust, cost-effective solutions
- Support Engineering Request workstream
- Act as a conduit and facilitate cross functional collaboration between teams
- Provide leadership in coordinating and presenting at technical conferences
- Lead initiatives to improve reliability, availability and trip reduction
- Author and coach in internal communications for major issue resolution
- Communicate fleet and product issues into the NPI process
- Engage in global product service meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Steam Turbine on-job-training of field installation/maintenance
- Demonstrated expertise in steam turbine design, installation and/or maintenance
- Self-starter with initiative and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with teams
- Strong team building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of an organization
