Job Description

Field Trial Engineer managing product trials, collaborating with partners and internal teams at Vontier. Ensuring successful deployment and feedback synthesis for product improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute field trials with pilot customers or partners
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between the customer and internal engineering teams during the trial
  • Define trial objectives, success criteria, and scope
  • Monitor trial deployments and collect performance/feedback data
  • Document and track issues discovered during the trial
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback to influence product improvements
  • Ensure trial environments are properly set up and supported
  • Assist in transitioning successful trials toward general availability (GA)
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to determine key integration points required for field trial testing
  • Collaborate with team to design processes for verification of product installation and performance during Alpha / Beta
  • Design risk management plan to control internal and external exposure during field trial
  • Attend field trial installations, as needed, to validate program assumptions, processes, and field use cases
  • Facilitate issue tracking and resolution from customer labs and field trial for the purposes of monitoring external quality
  • Document technical lessons learned and provide feedback to the appropriate stakeholder(s) to ensure gap closure

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Program Management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of production practices and test procedures
  • Good facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated time management and project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of Gilbarco Products is a requirement
  • Self Starter
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications and presentation skills
  • Personal commitment to quality and on-schedule delivery
  • Must be versatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to deal with frequent change and ambiguity
