Job Description

Financial Services Onboarding Specialist guiding compliant provider, TPA, and employer onboarding. Supporting Nomi Health’s mission to simplify healthcare payments, banking, and operational data.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide providers, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), and employer groups through accurate, timely, and compliant onboarding
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding onto payment and financial services platforms
  • Collect, validate, and process banking, tax, and compliance documentation
  • Validate W-9s, banking confirmation letters, voided checks, entity formation documents, and plan/account setup forms
  • Perform NPI registry verification, OIG/SAM exclusion screening, negative news checks, and entity verification reviews
  • Ensure onboarding adheres to BSA/AML, KYC, NACHA, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements
  • Coordinate account and banking structure setup, including funding arrangements, EFT/ACH configuration, and plan-level account mapping
  • Triage and resolve onboarding exceptions, discrepancies, and documentation gaps
  • Maintain audit-ready onboarding records and status tracking in CRM/Salesforce and internal systems
  • Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, Engineering, and Product to resolve escalated issues and reduce time-to-activation
  • Prepare onboarding status reports, pipeline metrics, and exception trends
  • Partner with Product and Technology to identify platform defects, define requirements, and validate enhancements
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and recommend process improvements
  • Provide documentation and transaction/onboarding details for audit support

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services onboarding, payment operations, KYC/AML, or healthcare claims/insurance operations
  • Working knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC, and NACHA compliance concepts as applied to onboarding and account setup
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to validate financial, banking, and compliance documentation accurately
  • Ability to translate onboarding pain points into clear requirements for Product and Technology teams and validate delivered solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to investigate documentation discrepancies and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience building effective working relationships across Finance, Compliance, Product, and Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data validation
  • Ability to manage a high-volume onboarding pipeline and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and accountability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed and proactive, with ownership of outcomes and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Preferred: experience onboarding providers, TPAs, and employer groups in healthcare, payments, or financial services
  • Preferred: familiarity with NPI registry lookups, OIG LEIE/SAM.gov exclusion screening, or similar due diligence tools
  • Preferred: experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot
  • Preferred: working knowledge of SQL
  • Preferred: experience with Salesforce, Jira, or other CRM/operational workflow tools
