Job Description
Senior Fund Accountant leading fund onboarding, reconciliations, and historical data migration. Supporting Gen II’s private capital fund administration through accounting systems and client transitions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead key workstreams in onboarding and historical data migration for new clients
- Convert and reconcile historical accounting data from prior administrators or systems
- Perform and self-review trial balance, capital account, and transaction reconciliations
- Set up and validate fund, entity, and investor information in accounting systems
- Prepare and quality-check supporting schedules, workpapers, and financial statement tie-outs
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact for reconciliation and data issues
- Escalate complex issues to the Supervisor as needed
- Guide and provide on-the-job training to fund accountants
- Review fund accountants’ work as assigned
- Maintain and monitor transition checklists and ensure timely completion of deliverables
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 2 years of fund accounting or fund administration experience
- Private equity experience preferred
- Prior transition, conversion, or onboarding experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of private-equity fund structures, allocations, and partner capital accounting
- Experience with fund accounting systems such as Intacct, Investran, or Allvue preferred
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
