Job Description

Global Supply Planner managing suppliers and optimizing inventory for Motorola's Land Mobile Radio and Video solutions. Ensuring production material flow while balancing cost and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • The GSP manages the suppliers (EMS) flow of products by monitoring demand, monitor raw material supply to EMS, and optimizing inventory levels to meet their production needs, balancing costs, quality, and timely delivery through strong supplier relationships, data analysis, and collaboration with internal teams like Business Operations and DCs, utilizing ERP/MRP systems for efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Is also responsible to ensure a steady flow of materials for production by balancing inventory, managing suppliers, and creating purchase orders, using data to forecast needs, track performance, and resolve issues to meet operational goals and minimize shortages or excess stock.
  • They act as a bridge, converting demand plans into actual build plans, managing supplier relationships. This position is responsible for managing these activities for both Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Video solutions.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field is required.
  • A minimum of 3+ years on SCM roles such as buyer, planner, materials planner.
  • Experience with EMS partnerships and electronics/technology manufacturing is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and dedicated Supply Chain Management (SCMS) software.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor, interpret, and present complex supply chain data using advanced analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, preferably utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other accredited performance enhancement frameworks.
  • Negotiation, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, organization, relationship building.
