Job Description
Master automotive technician repairing and maintaining vehicles for AutoNation, America’s automotive retailer. Diagnosing malfunctions, completing inspections, and delivering reliable customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work according to repair orders and dealership and factory standards
- Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and Customer communication
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform authorized repairs
- Conduct multi-point inspections and make safety and reliability recommendations
- Document work performed on each vehicle’s repair order
- Maintain an inventory of normal Technician tools not inventoried as special tools
- Keep current with factory technical bulletins
- Participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
- Achieve targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index results
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician
- Automotive technical training, varying based on store needs
- Attention to detail
- Organization and follow-up skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record
