Job Description
Head of Project Management Office at a fast-growing Contract Sales Organization focused on biotech and pharmaceuticals. Leading project delivery operations and managing PMO performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction, governance, and operational performance of the Project Management Office
- Oversee Project Managers and Technical Product Managers
- Drive enterprise portfolio planning and manage critical high-impact projects
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve PMO methodologies, standards, templates, and reporting structures
- Manage the full project and product portfolio, ensuring prioritization based on business value
- Directly lead complex, high-risk, or high-value projects from planning to execution
- Provide direction to Technical Product Managers regarding product roadmaps and user requirements
- Establish enterprise-wide risk and quality frameworks spanning both projects and product development efforts
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all PMO-related issues
- Lead, coach, and develop project managers and personnel
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or Portfolio Management certifications are an advantage
- 10+ years of combined experience in project management, program management, product management, or PMO leadership
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects hands-on
- Experience supervising project and product management functions
- Strong background in technology, software development, or digital transformation preferred.
