Job Description
Home Valuation Analyst evaluating marketability risk for property valuations at Knock. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance in home buying.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct property risk analyses by evaluating market conditions, potential marketability detractors, comparable sales and active listing inventory, and alignment between Knock’s Automated Valuation Model (AVM) and Agent List Prices.
- Determine whether properties meet Knock Program eligibility based on underwriting and marketability guidelines.
- Provide an approved market value and Knock Purchase Offer price for eligible properties.
- Communicate approval decisions clearly and promptly to internal teams.
- Ensure SLAs are consistently met for deal approval and Knock Purchase Offer requests.
- Ensure data accuracy to support approval decisions across Knock systems.
- Investigate pricing variances and troubleshoot the underlying drivers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, lending, and risk teams.
- Escalate exceptions to the designated review team.
- Provide pricing-related feedback and product support to relevant internal teams.
Requirements:
- Professional working experience in home valuations, specifically regarding pricing and risk considerations
- Strong understanding of local and national real estate market conditions and trends
- Resourcefulness, decisiveness, and accountability when conducting property reviews
- Comfort working with new technology and across multiple platforms
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Agility in adapting to new processes, feedback, and evolving business needs
- An outstanding work ethic with the ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities
- Passion for Knock’s POPSICLE values and a commitment to doing the right thing
- Proven success working 100% remotely with a nationally distributed team
- Location: Mountain or Pacific
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience
