Job Description
Inside Property Adjuster investigating and negotiating complex homeowners claims for National General. Determining coverage, damages, fraud, and subrogation outcomes remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for complex Homeowners claims
- Determine coverage and damages
- Adjust and negotiate claims within authority limits
- Provide guidance to junior employees
- Partner with fraud and subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome
- Handle complex first-party Homeowners claims involving coverage, damages, and subrogation
- Exercise discretion and independence within an increased level of authority
- Identify key components of residential construction and repair
- Identify complex customer needs and address them using appropriate customer service skills
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and appropriate handling
- Work remotely while servicing Pacific time zone states
Requirements:
- Experience at the Adjuster II level or rotation into a specialty position
- Ability to work 8am to 5pm Pacific time zone hours
- Knowledge of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems
- Customer service skills for addressing complex customer needs
- Understanding of subrogation and fraud potential
- Advanced understanding of insurance policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
- Ability to independently investigate complex Homeowners first-party claims
- Claims and insurance administration knowledge
- Insurance underwriting knowledge
- Relationship management skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
