Job Description
Inside Property Adjuster remotely inspecting damage, determining coverage, and negotiating property claims for Allstate policyholders. Handling water losses through virtual customer and vendor collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Virtually inspect property damage
- Investigate coverage and interpret policies
- Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and accurately
- Handle water-loss claims
- Interact with customers, contractors, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants through voice calls, email, text messages, and video chat
- Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements according to legal and business methodologies
- Use Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms
- Document claim activity accurately and timely in the claims system
- Provide compassionate customer service and guide policyholders through the claims process
- Work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment
- Participate in comprehensive initial and ongoing training
Requirements:
- 1+ years of previous customer service experience required
- Previous industry experience highly desired
- Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments preferred
- Ability to assess property damages and accurately determine claim coverage
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual work environment
- Detail-oriented and organized, with focus on high-quality and efficient claim resolutions
- Candidate residing in Central & Eastern time zone preferred
- May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, if applicable
- Required to submit to a background investigation
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
