Job Description
Inside Property Adjuster investigating homeowners claims for National General, an Allstate insurance company. Determining coverage, damages, fraud, and subrogation outcomes remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for Homeowners claims
- Determine coverage and damages
- Adjust and negotiate claims within limits of authority
- Handle all aspects of Homeowners first party claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation
- Exercise discretion and independence within an increased level of authority
- Partner with assigned fraud or subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome
- Recognize and identify key components of residential construction and repair
- Identify and meet customer needs using appropriate customer service skills
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it
- Work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- No supervisory duties
Requirements:
- Experience at the Adjuster II level or rotation into a specialty position
- Ability to investigate Homeowners first party claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation
- Knowledge of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems
- Broad understanding of company-written insurance policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
- Customer service skills
- Prioritization skills
- Xactimate estimating
- Authorization to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor work visas
- Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
