Job Description
Inside Sales Support Representative supporting managed account growth for The Home Depot’s home improvement retail business. Providing quotes, project ownership, customer service, and issue resolution remotely in Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Support growth of managed account portfolios with Outside Sales Representatives
- Provide consultative support and maintain strong account relationships
- Provide personalized service and solutions through timely and complete quotes and sales orders
- Resolve issues and provide post-sale follow-up throughout the project cycle
- Drive repeat business through customer service, accurate quoting, sourcing, and overall project ownership
- Support Outside Sales partners in growing accounts through internal and external relationship building
- Provide post-order follow-up and reconcile issues or errors
- Partner with vendors and cross-functional partners on quoting, pricing, availability, and issue resolution
- Own high-volume projects end to end, keeping managed account customers central to the process
- Assist internal and external customers with issue resolution, after-sale follow-up, invoice transmittal, and quote requests
- Report to a Supervisor and manage 12 direct reports
- Travel overnight 5% to 20% of the time
Requirements:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous customer service or retail sales experience; home improvement trades specific
- Knowledge of local building codes; Home Improvement specific
- Consultative and growth mindset, ability to respond quickly to customer needs, both internal and external
- In-depth knowledge of retail systems, including Showroom Point of Sale-Orange Pay, Order Up, My Custom Designs, Volume Pricing Program, Quote Center, Pro Xtra, Credit Services Center, and the Appliance Ordering System
- High school diploma and/or GED
- Minimum 1 year of work experience
