Job Description

Software Integration Engineer designing and operating resilient APIs for Cisco’s digital ecosystem. Collaborating to build integrations across platforms, partners, and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise integrations on MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, connecting Salesforce, commerce platforms, on-premises applications, databases, and modern user interfaces.
  • Build API-led integrations, ETL/data pipelines, and real-time streaming flows across hybrid environments; integrate AI/ML workloads and ensure efficient data movement between systems.
  • Configure and run CloudHub 2.0 features (Private Spaces, TLS domains, load balancers, Flex Gateway), and integrate with AWS (S3, OpenSearch, Lambda, PostgreSQL), MongoDB Atlas, and relational/NoSQL databases.
  • Implement authentication/authorization (Okta, DUO), implement API policies, and use tools like Splunk and custom dashboards for flow monitoring, fix, and recovery.
  • Partner with architects, developers, and business collaborators to translate requirements into robust solutions; conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and apply integration protocols and UI frameworks.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, progress in Jira, and chip in to continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of MuleSoft and integration trends, adopting new tools, frameworks, and patterns to improve the ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or 7+ years of experience in software design, development, and delivery for web or cloud-based enterprise applications.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI/UX design.
  • Expertise in server-side languages (Java, Python, Node.js, or C#), API development (REST/GraphQL), database design (SQL/NoSQL), and scalable microservices architecture.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions using MuleSoft tools (API Manager, Design Center, Runtime Manager, Flex Gateway) and proficiency in DataWeave for data transformation, REST/SOAP Webservices.
  • Validated experience integrating with third-party systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), authentication (OAuth, JWT), and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, automated testing, code reviews, and SDLC practices.
  • Experience working in Agile, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent English communication skills to collaborate optimally in global teams.
