Job Description
IT Manager leading a technology team in cloud transformation for a global insurance distribution platform. Driving modernization of enterprise applications and ensuring reliability of critical platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of software engineers, DevOps professionals, database developers, and system analysts while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems
- Drive Azure cloud strategy, including architecture, deployment, governance, cost optimization, and adoption of cloud-native services such as microservices, containers, AKS, and serverless solutions
- Oversee the full lifecycle of Java-based enterprise applications, including modernization of legacy systems and integration with SQL backends and enterprise data environments
- Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to enable reliable, automated, and repeatable releases across all environments
- Partner with business leaders, vendors, and third parties to translate business needs into actionable technology roadmaps while ensuring compliance with governance, security, and regulatory standards
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, including participation in on-call support rotations for critical systems as needed.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of IT experience
- 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role
- Proven hands-on expertise with Azure cloud services, cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization, and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps preferred)
- Strong experience leading and supporting Java/Spring-based enterprise applications, Angular front-end technologies, and relational databases such as SQL Server
- Demonstrated success modernizing legacy systems, operating in regulated environments, and effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
