Job Description

Junior Project Manager coordinating and supporting maintenance projects for a remote software development company focused on EdTech, Fintech, eCommerce, and Pharma.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage multiple maintenance projects, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery in line with contractual agreements.
  • Facilitate the transition of projects into the maintenance phase and collaborate with the Project Manager to move projects back into active development when required.
  • Prioritize tasks and deliverables with stakeholders, keeping processes structured to maximize value while resolving issues efficiently.
  • Implement risk and change management practices to ensure smooth project execution and proactively address challenges.
  • Manage project budgets, prepare financial forecasts, and provide revenue reports to management, while keeping clients informed of any updates.
  • Allocate and reserve required resources, working closely with the Resource Manager to adjust plans when needed.
  • Monitor quality standards and promptly escalate and resolve any issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal teams and clients, ensuring seamless communication between all stakeholders.
  • Track project health and progress, prepare regular status reports for clients and management, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Communicate with clients regarding potential project extensions or maintenance contract renewals, identify opportunities, and share them with company leadership.

Requirements:

  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • At least 1.5 years of experience managing small to medium-sized projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Confident user of Jira, Jira Assistant, and Confluence for project tracking, reporting, and team collaboration.
  • Practical experience working with SCRUM and Kanban methodologies.
  • Understanding of web and mobile development lifecycles and project delivery processes.
  • Experience collaborating with Business Analysts and QA Engineers, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination during maintenance phases.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Ability to anticipate risks, identify issues early, and take proactive actions to resolve or escalate them to ensure successful project delivery.
