Job Description
Junior Project Manager leading federal projects in a healthcare/life sciences SDVOSB services company. Coordinates internal teams for program success and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage delivery activities across one or more federal task orders, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned deliverables, coordinating efforts across internal teams, stakeholders, and federal customers.
- Support strategic business process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and delivery effectiveness.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of project schedules, cost frameworks, status reporting, and documentation for current and future federal programs.
- Collaborate closely with the Deliverables Manager, Program Leads, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverable expectations.
- Develop and maintain ad hoc reports, dashboards, and tracking documentation to support internal reviews and ensure federal compliance requirements are met.
- Monitor project risks, identify potential issues proactively, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful program execution.
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, leadership, and project teams to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices across program management operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Business, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in project management, program management, or business operations support.
- Understanding project and program management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Experience supporting federal government contracts, task orders, or compliance-driven environments preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience interacting with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project tracking tools, and reporting platforms.
- PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or other project management certification is a plus.
- Experience with federal compliance reporting and contract deliverable management.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies
