Job Description
Lead email designer setting visual systems and directing campaigns for a US retention agency serving 9-figure DTC brands. Coaching designers across fashion, beauty, CPG, and luxury accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Design the first emails for every new client
- Build each brand’s visual system, including typography, photography treatment, color, merchandising, and motion where appropriate
- Own design quality across the agency’s book of business
- Lead, brief, critique, and develop graphic designers
- Provide campaign-level art direction for weekly sends, promotions, and product drops
- Partner with strategists and copywriters to turn briefs into high-quality campaign designs
- Push back on briefs that would produce generic work
- Adapt design direction across fashion, beauty, CPG, and accessories brands
- Set and maintain the agency’s email design quality standard
Requirements:
- Experience at an agency servicing 9-figure ecommerce/DTC brands; must name the agency and brands
- Exceptional email portfolio showing campaign art direction, custom display type, treated photography, and designed merchandising
- Continues to design hands-on; first work for each new client must be theirs
- Previous experience leading designers, including briefing, redlining, and raising design quality
- Mastery of Figma
- Adobe proficiency assumed
- Ability to build for Klaviyo without producing generic Klaviyo-style designs
- Design range across fashion, beauty, CPG, and accessories
- Professional written and spoken English
- Based in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, or Costa Rica
- Ability to work 9am–1pm EST; role hours are 9am–5pm EST every working day
- Portfolio link with email work required; NDA-covered work may be replaced with the closest shareable editorial or campaign work
