Job Description
Part-time Lead Shift Server providing food and beverage service to residents and guests at Senior Lifestyle’s Wellington at Hershey’s Mill community. Maintaining dining-area sanitation, coordinating room service, and training shift staff.
Responsibilities:
- Accept food orders, communicate with the kitchen, and deliver food and beverages to residents and guests
- Respond quickly to resident and guest needs and requests
- Bus and reset tables
- Complete assigned side work and check out with the Manager at the end of the shift
- Collaborate with staff to provide timely room service according to Tray Service/Pick Up policy
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, china, and equipment
- Comply with state and local food-handling health codes and personal hygiene policies
- Inspect that staff complete end-of-shift duties
- Attend required training, in-services, and staff meetings
- Train or revisit training with staff
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with residents, visitors, and coworkers
- Follow food-preparation safety and back-injury prevention policies
- Avoid product and time waste to maintain budgets
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- No experience required
- Previous Food Service experience is a plus
- Serv Safe or other required local, county, or state certifications
- Ability to switch tasks quickly and often
- Pride in food quality and presentation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Patience and ability to communicate effectively with different personalities
- Attend required training and meet department training standards
- Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs
- Follow state and local health codes for food handling and safety precautions
